Letizia Moratti

Mayor of Milan

Letizia Brichetto Arnaboldi Moratti has been the mayor of Milan since 2006. After getting her university degree, Letizia Moratti entered the entrepreneurial world, undertaking numerous international activities in the fields of finance, insurance, risk management, communication services and in the new media sector.

President of the RAI from 1994 to 1996, Moratti carried out a large plan involving internal reorganization and strengthening of production. From 2001 to 2006 she was the Italian Minister of Education, University and Research and in 2003 she brought together 25 EU ministers of Education and Labor in Milan to discuss human capital and professional training.


She is UN Ambassador for the Drug and Crime section.
