President of the Italian Railways, Cipolletta has been the director general of Confindustria, professor of economic and finance policy at the LUISS in Rome and a member of the CNEL Consiglio nazionale dell’economia e del lavoro.
Member of a variety of Boards such as the Fondazione Rui, in 1993 Cipolletta received the honorary title of Cavaliere di Gran Croce from the Italian President.
