Giannini has collaborated with Sole 24 Ore and la Stampa. Since 1998 he has been working at La Repubblica, covering politics and economics.
Sub-editor of the daily newspaper, he has been the editor of the Monday supplement, “Business and Finance” since 2007. He wrote the book, Ciampi. Sette Anni di un Tecnico al Quirinale in 2006.
