Director of the Department of Institutional Analysis and Public Management at Bocconi University
Full Professor of Public Economics at Bocconi since 1988, previously Artoni was the director of the “Ettore Bocconi” Institute of Economics and of the ECONPUBBLICA - Center for Research on the Public Sector at Bocconi. Since 2007 he has been vice-president of the Società Italiana degli Economisti.
He has been a visiting professor of the UN, and from 1998 to 2001 he was a member of the global consulting and privatizations guarantee committee of the Italian Treasury Department.
Since 1978 he has received research assignments from Italian parliamentary and state institutions and from the World Bank.
